Theme of Party Girl - Second Chance to Post

We've been reading the book Party Girl.  If you have not yet posted a comment, click the comment button here and post a comment with the following information:

1. What is one theme of Party Girl?
2. Explain why you think it is a theme.
3. Explain whether the theme is true in your life. Give some examples to explain why.

Today's Assignment - Thursday, November 16

Today we are going to:

-Finish commenting on the theme of Party Girl (see yesterday's post).

-Revise (then print) personal narratives for:
  1. Elimination of all spelling errors
  2. Elimination of confusing pronouns/antecedents (we must always know which "he" and "she' you are talking about.
  3. Past tense verbs correctly conjugated and spelled
  4. First references of all characters must be clear. 
  5. Dialogue correctly punctuated.  Speaker tags must be separated from direct quotations using a comma.  The first word in all dialogue must be capitalized
  6. Figurative language in green (three examples)
  7. Dialogue in orange (at least seven lines)
 When you think you are done, you will peer edit with someone in class. You will sit next to them, switch computers, and carefully check each other's drafts.  Then you will look at the rubric and make sure you have done everything you need to do to get an A on this assignment.


Whew! After you have done all of this, yes, you may print using one of the computers connected to the printer.
